PRIVATE VILLA · UMALAS, BALI
Villa Deco Umalas, Bali
A private luxury villa in Umalas with complete custom woodwork and furniture from our Bali atelier.
Villa Deco Umalas is a private luxury residence in Umalas, one of Bali's most refined residential areas, where modern villa architecture meets traditional Balinese craft. The project showcases the full range of what a master Balinese woodworking atelier can deliver: architectural millwork, custom furniture, and signature decorative elements integrated into a coherent design language.
All wooden furniture and woodwork across the property was crafted in-house by our atelier. The scope includes the carved ceiling panels in the master suites with their geometric marquetry, the wooden staircase and its handrails, the doors with traditional Balinese diamond patterns, the floor-to-ceiling glass-and-wood wardrobe systems, the bedroom suites with signature diamond-patterned headboards, and the dining room with its oversized table seating eight. Outside, the wooden decking and architectural framing extend the language to the pool terrace.
The project demonstrates two strengths of the atelier: first, the ability to deliver architectural-scale millwork (ceilings, staircases, wall-integrated wardrobes) alongside movable furniture; second, the technical mastery required for marquetry-grade work where precision and finish are visible at close inspection.
Villa Deco Umalas is a private commission. The current property is listed for resale by its owners through a Bali real estate agency, which is how the project's photography became publicly accessible.

From the atelier
"Villa Deco Umalas allowed our atelier to express the full range of Balinese craft, from the marquetry of the master suite ceilings down to the doors with their diamond pattern. When a single villa receives the entire wooden program of a property, the result becomes an architectural statement, not just a furniture order."
