One house, one specification, one shipment.
This service is for owners equipping an entire house or villa, or one complete category of it: every door and window, the full outdoor set, or the furniture for all the rooms at once. The pieces are produced together in the Bali workshop and travel in the same container, which is what makes the route worth taking.
Ordering by the category or by the house rather than by the piece is the whole economic argument. Drawings, finishes and hardware are settled once for the property, so the doors match each other and the bedrooms match the living room. And the fixed costs of a shipment, container, port handling, customs formalities, inland delivery, are spread across a full load instead of a single table.
What this service is not is a catalogue order for one or two pieces. A single item carries the same fixed logistics bill as a full container, which is why the project minimum below exists.
Rental villas and client projects led by an interior designer or an architect are served by the villa packages service, where projects start from €25,000.
Typical scopes
Three ways a private residence project is usually scoped.
Doors and windows sets
Teak doors and windows produced to custom sizes from your own measured drawings, hardware included. Specified as a complete set for the property rather than piece by piece, which is what makes a single shipment worthwhile.
Outdoor sets
Loungers, dining sets and poolside pieces in A-grade plantation teak or UV-coated rattan. Material and finish are specified against the UV exposure, humidity and salt conditions of the destination.
Whole-house furnishing
Bedrooms, living and dining for the whole property in one program: beds, wardrobes, sofas, coffee tables, dining tables and consoles, drawn and finished to one specification so the rooms read as one house.

Project minimum
From €10,000.
A shipment from Bali carries costs that do not scale with the order: the container itself, port handling at both ends, customs formalities and inland delivery are charged per shipment, not per piece. Below roughly €10,000 of furniture those fixed costs take a share of the total that the saving on the pieces no longer offsets.
An indicative customs cost estimate can be prepared at quotation stage.

Reference project
Villa Deco Umalas, Bali
A private villa in Umalas that received the whole wooden program of the property from one workshop: two master suites and two further bedrooms, bathroom vanity units, the dining room, the carved ceiling panels, the staircase, the interior doors and the full-height wardrobe systems, plus the pool terrace decking.
It is the clearest illustration of what whole-house scoping produces: one specification across every room, rather than pieces bought separately and matched afterwards. This project was delivered in Bali itself, so no container shipping was involved. For the shipped route, the workshop has exported to the United Kingdom and France.

What is the minimum order for a private residence project?
Private residence projects start from €10,000. Sea freight is costed per shipment rather than per piece, so the fixed part of the logistics bill (container, port handling, customs formalities, inland delivery) barely moves between a small order and a large one. Below that figure those fixed costs take a share of the total that no furniture saving offsets.
How long does a private residence project take?
The workshop's typical production time is 8 to 10 weeks from the moment drawings and finishes are signed off. Door to door, the typical timing is 12 to 20 weeks depending on destination, sea freight and customs clearance at the arrival port included. What happens after the brief is sent?
The brief is relayed to the workshop in Bali, which reads it for capacity and lead time, and the answer comes back by email within 48 hours. If the project is a fit, detailed specs, drawings and reference photos follow by email, and the workshop issues the quotation and the production schedule. Throughout, you keep one contact at Ubud Atelier and a direct line to the workshop; production, quality control, packing and shipping remain the workshop's and its freight forwarders'.
