BOUTIQUE GUEST HOUSE · CORSICA, FRANCE
Villa Torrella, Corsica
A boutique guest house in Corsica, fully furnished with custom wooden pieces from our Bali atelier.
Villa Torrella is a boutique guest house set in the Corsican hills, welcoming travelers in a setting that combines Mediterranean landscape with Balinese-inspired hospitality. The property required a complete furniture program built to handle the dual demands of operating as a commercial guest house, namely daily use, frequent turnover, year-round durability, and the elegance expected of a refined hospitality address.
All wooden furniture and woodwork across the property was crafted in our Bali workshop, then shipped via container to Corsica for installation. The scope spanned the full property: guest bedroom suites with four-poster beds and matching nightstands, bathroom millwork including double-vanity units with carved teak mirrors, the entry reception bar with custom stools, the outdoor living areas with pool deck daybeds and dining sets, and the indoor lounges with bespoke sofas and Balinese-style opium tables.
The signature pieces of the project are the three pool deck daybeds with bamboo posts and white drapes, a Balinese resort form rendered in materials and finishes calibrated to handle the Corsican climate and the guest-facing wear of a working hospitality property. Years after delivery, the pieces remain in continuous service, validating both the durability of A-grade plantation teak in Mediterranean conditions and the suitability of our craft for hospitality-grade specifications.
For boutique hotel operators, beach resort developers, and guest house owners considering a Bali-to-Europe sourcing route, Villa Torrella demonstrates the full operational viability of the approach.

Logistics
Furniture was crafted in Bali, packed and shipped via standard ocean freight container from Benoa Port to a Mediterranean port (Marseille routing typical for Corsica), then ferried to the island for final on-site installation. Standard Bali to Corsica transit is 25 to 35 days plus inter-island ferry.
From the atelier
"Villa Torrella was one of our most complete European projects. The owners trusted us to handle every wooden piece in the property, indoor and outdoor, knowing it would serve a working guest house. Working at this scale forces our atelier to think about every detail, from the joinery of a daybed post to the alignment of a wardrobe door. Years later, knowing the pieces are still in use brings us pride."
