Villa furniture for Bali developers, made twenty minutes away

For villa developments and rental villas furnished on the island, produced in Kerobokan and delivered by truck. No sea freight, no customs, no container to fill.

The local project

Villa furniture in Bali is a different proposition from the same furniture sent abroad, and most of the difference is subtraction. A developer in Canggu or a villa owner in Uluwatu buying from a workshop in Kerobokan has no container to book, no sailing to plan around, no customs entry, no duty and no destination VAT. The pieces are made on the island and trucked to the property. What is left is the part that actually decides whether a villa looks right: the drawings, the timber grade, the finish schedule and the hardware.

That makes this a different conversation from the shipped services on the rest of this site. A local developer is not weighing a container against a European maker; the question is which workshop can hold one specification across every unit. You deal with one contact and with the workshop itself: Ubud Atelier puts your brief in front of the workshop and relays every exchange, and the workshop manufactures, packs and delivers the pieces.

What changes

What changes when the project is in Bali.

  • There is no sea freight, so the container booking, the sailing schedule and the port cut-off dates drop out of the project entirely.
  • There is no import customs, no duty and no destination VAT to plan for, because the pieces never cross a border.
  • There is no container planning, so an order does not have to be sized to fill a 20ft or 40ft load before it makes economic sense.
  • Finished pieces travel by truck from the workshop in Kerobokan to the property.
  • The workshop quotes and invoices in IDR for a project delivered inside Indonesia.
  • The workshop can measure on site before production, which matters most for doors, windows and built-in joinery.
  • Visits to the workshop in Kerobokan can be arranged during production.

No local delivery time is published here. Scheduling is the workshop's, agreed against your site programme.

Typical scope

Three ways a Bali project is usually scoped.

Per-villa packages

One property furnished as a single specification: bedrooms, living, dining, outdoor, and the doors and windows where the joinery is part of the order. Drawn and finished together so the rooms read as one villa, not a set of separate purchases.

Multi-villa developments

One specification repeated across 5 to 40 units, with the finish schedule, hardware and dimensions fixed once and applied to every villa. This is where a development gets its consistency, and where a later unit can be matched to the first.

Refurbishment of existing rental villas

Replacing what the rental season has worn out, category by category: the outdoor set, the bedroom furniture, the dining table, or the doors. Existing pieces can be measured on site so the replacements fit what is already there.

Other areas on request. Access is the real constraint: a property a truck cannot reach needs the last stretch arranged separately, worth raising at brief stage rather than on the delivery day.

Questions

Can the workshop deliver to a villa that is still under construction?

Yes, and it is the common case on a development. What matters is that the site can take delivery: a truck route to the property, somewhere dry and secure to put the pieces, and someone on site to receive them. Furniture arriving before the building is closed up is the situation worth avoiding, so the delivery sequence is agreed with the workshop against the construction programme.

Does the workshop work in IDR?

Yes. For a project delivered inside Indonesia the workshop quotes and invoices in IDR. The euro figures on this site are there so the project minimum can be compared with the shipped services; the equivalent in IDR is confirmed in the workshop’s own quotation, issued under its own terms.

Can the workshop be visited?

Yes, by appointment, once the brief has been confirmed as a fit. A visit to the workshop in Kerobokan is the most useful step a local client can take before approving a specification: finish, timber grade and joinery are far easier to judge in person than from a photograph. Send the brief through the contact form and the visit is arranged from there.

What is the minimum project size?

Projects start from €25,000 or the equivalent in IDR. The figure buys more furniture on a Bali project than on a shipped one, because none of it goes on sea freight, port handling or customs. A single villa furnished throughout normally clears it, and a development clears it comfortably.
